Rockford Fosgate PPS4-8 Punch PRO 8-Inch Single Midrange 4 Rockford Fosgate PPS4-8 Punch PRO 8-Inch Single Midrange 4 Ohm Loudspeaker (Electronics) I have 4 of these in my 2010 Corolla. You can install them without cutting by spacing the rear speakers 3/8" and the doors 1".Theres nothing you can throw at these that will make them perform poorly. They are crystal clear all the way to max volume. Right now Im only pushing 75w to each of these and its way more than enough. You will need a pair of tweeters to fill out the highs as these are only good from 80Hz to 5KHz and definitely highpass your amp.
Socket Mobile 7Ci CX2887-1486 Bluetooth Cordless Hand Scan Socket Mobile 7Ci CX2887-1486 Bluetooth Cordless Hand Scanner (CHS) (Office Product) Well-designed easy setup functions flawlessly. If theres any drawback its that it costs more than it really should. If this were a consumer item it would sell for half as much.
Cobra iRadar iRAD-105 Radar Detector for Android Devices Cobra iRadar iRAD-105 Radar Detector for Android Devices (Electronics) Some of the other reviewers obviously are new to radar detectors. No this thing will not detect radars that are not being used at the moment so yes sometimes it will alert you only when you approach a speed trap and its too late. That has always been a problem with detectors: They are not perfect. But this is the first one that actually takes a very good stab at "detecting" those speed traps where you get "shot" just as you round the corner. The user is allowed to report speed traps using the bluetooth connected smartphone. That feature saved me just this morning. The radar part of the actual detector never went off but as I traveled down the interstate I received a "user reported speed trap" (or something like that) made sure I was doing the correct speed slowed down about 5mph and THEN saw the cop. He did "zap" me with his radar and it was detected. But I already knew he was there thanks to some anonymous person who reported the trap earlier.Yes ALL radar detectors will go off when there are no cops around. That is what the "city/highway" setting is for (accessible only though the smart phone when connected). Automatic doors at businesses are the usual culprit. Its a byproduct of the times we live in and not Cobras fault. So far it seems to be a admirable detector all by itself without even connecting it to a smart phone. But adding the smart phone turns it into a beast of a detector that no geek worth his salt should be without.Oh and one thing I might mention: The iPhone and Android units are NOT interchangeable. The one made for the iPhone will ONLY work on the iPhone. The Android will only work with an Android. I learned that the hard way. )
